Individual recommendations to counteract skin aging
Many factors influence the aging of the skin. These include an unhealthy lifestyle. For example, the skin of smokers usually ages much faster than that of non-smokers.
Unhealthy nutrition, inadequate skincare, and excessive influence of UV light also seem to harm the skin and accelerate aging. But that is not all. It may well be that two people with almost identical lifestyles age at different rates.
We now know that skin aging is influenced not only by a person’s general lifestyle but also by their genes. These individual differences are often severe and have a significant impact on the aging process.
Currently, more than 20 different genetic variations are known that affect more than eight different factors of skin aging.
Genetic analysis can help identify personal strengths and weaknesses and do something about skin aging.
For our Beauty Sensor, we analyze genes related to skin aging from the submitted sample. This allows us to assess individual genetic factors affecting skin health, including collagen degradation, production, UV protection, moisture, oxidative stress, and the impact of Q10 and selenium.
Following analysis, we provide a detailed report with recommendations to improve skin appearance and slow aging.

Science: Today there are already about 4 million scientific publications that have investigated the effects of certain genetic defects on the human body. A typical finding from these sounds something like: “If you have genetic defect X, vitamin Y cannot be converted and remains ineffective.” Only when the effects of a genetic defect have been independently proven by at least three different studies is the genetic test included in the program. Therefore, the influence of a genetic defect is always supported by multiple scientific studies, and you can find the sources for these in the back section of each chapter. The genetic characteristics identified through this analysis are thus considered to be based on scientific studies.
That genes affect skin structure, aspects of skin aging and the ability to handle certain nutrients is proven by multiple scientific studies for each gene. You can find the corresponding PubMed IDs in our reports at the end of each chapter. Thus, the genetic characteristics determined through this analysis are considered scientifically confirmed. The adjustments to micronutrient dosing derived from these scientific findings require the so-called gold standard for definitive scientific proof—these are randomized, placebo-controlled studies. These already exist for folic acid and vitamin B2, but have not yet been published for all genetic effects in this program. For this reason, the genetic adaptation of cosmetics and micronutrient dosing is to be understood as an experimental stage. Your dietary supplements and cosmetics are thus experimentally adapted to your genes.
Recommendations: Recommendations based on your genetic profile. The recommendations derived from your genetic characteristics are often not determined by studies, but are frequently logical conclusions. An example: If a certain active ingredient does not work due to a genetic variation, the conclusion is to switch to another vitamin with similar effects. We achieve this, for example, by changing your cosmetic formulation or supplements. It is therefore important to understand that the recommendations developed by our experts are not based on randomized, placebo-controlled studies, but were created as logical conclusions based on your genetic characteristics.
