Austrian molecular biologist and biotechnologist. Since 2009 he has built Novogenia into one of Europe’s leading laboratories for genetic analysis, personalized supplements and cosmetics, grew it into the listed Novogenia AG group — and today brings precision genetics to the world as Chief Scientific Officer of 10X Health, an award-winning author and a sought-after speaker.

Daniel’s conviction is simple: the two metres of DNA inside every cell hold the most personal health information a person will ever have — and almost none of it was being used. He set out to change that, building a company that reads the genome and turns it into something tangible: a supplement matched to your biology, a cosmetic formulated for your skin, a prevention plan built on your own genetic risks.
To make that possible at scale, Novogenia became one of the very few companies in the world to own the entire chain in-house — the genetic laboratory, the supplement production, the cosmetics manufacturing and the software that ties them together. “Personalization only works,” Daniel argues, “when you control every step from the DNA to the finished product.”
Under his direction Novogenia developed a stack of technologies that few competitors can match — each one a building block of end-to-end personalization.
From a single Austrian start-up to a listed biotech group — and, during the pandemic, the country’s leading SARS-CoV-2 laboratory, scaled in a matter of weeks.

Born in Salzburg in 1982, Daniel studied Molecular Biology at the University of Manchester and completed a Ph.D. in Biotechnology by the age of 25 — his research focused on recombinant protein expression, RNA interference and epigenetics. In 2009 he returned to Austria and founded Novogenia, one of Europe’s first dedicated preventive genetic testing laboratories.
“Even though we can already deduce incredible things from a human genome, this is just a baby step of what will be possible. Therapies will increase in effectiveness tenfold, we will be able to fix broken genes we are born with, and potentially deadly diseases will be eradicated. I want to be at the forefront of all of these developments.”— Dr. Daniel Wallerstorfer
“I’m in my 60s and have never looked better — more energy, clarity, vigor, and I recover faster than I did in my 30s. It’s all thanks to finally unlocking the true power of my genetics. A total game-changer.”

English edition 2025 · German original “Die Macht unserer Gene” (2021, Lübbe Verlag)
“You can’t change your genetics — but you can enhance how they function for precision health, nutrition and longevity.” Daniel’s book makes the science accessible: how our genes shape body weight, nutrition, skin, performance, disease risk and aging — and how to act on that knowledge. The English edition launched in Las Vegas in 2025.

In 21 story-driven episodes Daniel turns genetics into gripping human stories — from The Angelina Effect and The Celtic Curse to Pharmacogenetics, The Gene Diet and A Happy Century. Real cases, real science, made for everyone.
Beyond his own show, Daniel is a sought-after keynote speaker and podcast guest — from the stage in Miami in front of 5,000 people with Gary Brecka, to TV and shows such as the Ultimate Human Podcast and Building Billions.

Science: Today there are already about 4 million scientific publications that have studied the effects of genes on the human body. That genes influence body weight, the effectiveness of certain strategies and the ability to handle certain nutrients is supported by multiple scientific studies for each gene — the genetic traits determined by our analyses are therefore considered scientifically confirmed.
Recommendations: The adaptations of micronutrient dosing, cosmetic formulation and dietary or lifestyle recommendations derived from these findings have not yet been confirmed by randomised, placebo-controlled studies for every genetic effect. They are therefore to be understood as logical conclusions — not scientifically proven outcomes — and do not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
